Hi, we're the Amezcua family.
Five years ago, we left California and moved to Missouri in search of one thing: land. We saw how fast the world was changing — war, AI, inflation — and we felt it deep down: it was time to own our own resources, grow our own food, and get back to God's creation.
Today we live on five acres in Missouri. We have goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits — and a dairy cow on the way. We've built a little family compound here — our two tiny cabins and our parents' house — and it's changed our family's lives.
But our dream was never just five acres.
Our dream is to find a large, beautiful property — 150 acres or more — where our family and 19 other Catholic families can build a village together — where every family owns their own deeded parcel of land, with their own home, their own animals, their own off-grid energy. A community centered around the sacraments and a deeply agrarian life. A place where our kids can grow up together, around families who believe what we believe.
We don't know where this property is going to be yet. We have no idea how we're going to pay for it. But we do know this: together, we can do far more than any one family could alone. Twenty families can reach for a bigger, more beautiful property than any of us could touch by ourselves — which means every family gets more land, in a better place, for the same money.
And we know those families are out there — families who want to own their land, raise livestock, have energy independence, and live alongside like-minded Catholic families.
So this list is step one: gathering those families. When we find the property and launch the first village, the people on this list will be the very first to know — and the founding families will come from it.
If that's you, put your family's name down. It's free.
